Mike + Katherine | The Orlo Wedding

Weddings

Congratulations mike + katherine! These two are so deserving of all the love and support they received on their wedding day! Their wedding was centered around their faith and their favorite people and it truly showed!

Throughout the day there was some rain, but everything still happened as planned and we still had plenty of time for photos in front of the orlo. when i walked into the bridal suite, katherine and her girls looked so cozy just hanging out on the couch and the floor talking to each other. I started photographing the details, which were gorgeous and had pops of blue! Before katherine got in her dress, she gave each of her bridesmaids a handwritten note personal to them. then katherine put on her wedding dress with her mom and she looked stunning!

around the same time, mike was hanging out with his groomsmen and putting the finishing touches into his outfit: putting on his bowtie, cuff links, and suit jacket. once mike and katherine were ready, mike waited out on the porch for their first look. these two were so sweet and they shared a hug and kiss after seeing each other. it stopped raining long enough to take a few couples portraits in front of the orlo house and then we went inside for photos on the iconic stairs.

before full bridal party photos, katherine shared a first look with her bridesmaids. the bridesmaids dresses looked absolutely perfect together with the different shades of blue and patterns. it’s one of my favorite bridesmaids looks that i’ve ever seen! their bridal party were all so supportive and included family members and friends!

it stopped raining again in time for their ceremony to start. mike looked so happy seeing his bride walking down the aisle. their ceremony was so meaningful and truly captured what a marriage is really about. it was full of both tears and laughs from them and all of their guests.

after their ceremony, the space was flipped to their reception during cocktail hour and mike and katherine got to enjoy this time with their family and friends! their reception details were personal and pretty including monogrammed napkins, a floral and candle table runner, little pops of blue, and two cakes (wedding and grooms cake).

they were introduced into their reception for the second time as mr and mrs delisle and their guests cheered so loud! They shared their first dance, father/daughter dance, and mother/son dance. they had a blessing and prayer and then dinner started. after dinner, katherine’s dad gave a toast and then the party started!! it was a unique and fun setup for dancing because they had a dj with live drums and a saxophone player. katherine made a dress/shoe change to dance in and her outfit was so cute! they ended their wedding day with a sparkler exit and headed off in a getaway car.

Scroll down to see some of my favorite photos from their day including their details with pops of blue, their first look and couples portraits, their bridal party with the mismatched bridesmaids dresses, their sweet ceremony, their personal reception details, and their dancing!
